Genesis was set up in 1990 by Peter Dealtrey as a marketing and intellectual property advisory business specialising in horticultural and agricultural plants.

In the 21 years since its inception the company has gone from strength to strength - its variety portfolio covers some 156 different plant genera which it protects, markets and licenses on behalf of Breeders on a worldwide basis.

Genesis is based in Maldon, Essex, UK and is managed and fronted by Peter, who is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in Botany, Economics and Zoology. The wealth of technical, contractual, financial, marketing and export experience Peter acquired during his career prior to 1990 as a Director in a number of multinational companies and some 2 decades working in the market place, mean he is able to offer you a well-informed, broad commercial view of your new plant's potential.

Peter is also a member of the RHS and an Associate Member of the Garden Writers' Guild.
