Description
‘Max’s Scaly Fern’. The most eye-catching feature of this medium-sized wood-fern are the relatively huge silvery-white scales covering the stipe and midrib – on older fronds these take on a rick chestnut hue. The broad fronds are bipinnately divided and quite hairy. It is probably hardy, but needs further testing.
