Description
After 20 years of working with Penstemon germ plasm, Fred Yates has created these cultivars which are winter hardy in the UK where conditions vary from -12C to -15C depending on soil and moisture conditions. Well branched plant with tightly positioned flower stems full of outward facing flowers. The majority of the flowers held horizontally and round the rakis giving a large volume of colour per plant. Re-flowering takes place rapidly from the base of the main flowering spike. The group is programmable so that plants can be produced with minimum intervention from mid May through to end September with flowering lasting until first heavy frost. Further colours are following within the Pentastic™ range.
