Description
Cordyline with a striking red core! The strap like foliage is olive green with a red stripe in the centre of the leaves and at the base creating a red heart to the plant. As the plant ages, its long, sword-shaped leaves gradually turn into rich burgundy hues. When mature, large heads bearing tiny white flowers are produced in hot summers. Its stunning structure adds interest all year long and works in borders, containers, or as a striking focal point in any garden.
Prefers full sun, or partial shade with free draining soil or compost.
Has better root development than other cordyline, greater stability of young plant, and better pot performance of finished plants. Prune as needed to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged foliage (they make great tree ties!)
